The main activity is the organization of cultural leisure of residents Kalininsky district: implementation of theatrical and concert activities, holding cultural and leisure events of various formats and the organization of the work of circles and studios.
, the Center for Art and Music of the Mayakovsky Library hosted the opening of the exhibition and the solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the city competition of fine and decorative arts "Colors of the City", dedicated to the celebration of the 320th anniversary of St. Petersburg. Mikhail Astashkevich, Deputy Head of the Kalininsky district administration, addressed the audience with words of congratulations. The pupils of the ballroom dance collective of the Edelweiss Arts Center and members of the creative collectives of the KDC presented concert numbers to the audience. In 2023, almost 900 works were presented by authors from creative studios of cultural and leisure institutions, art schools, institutions of additional education and youth policy, independent participants of St. Petersburg
and the Leningrad region. The jury, chaired by the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Oleg Yuryevich Yakhnin, included famous artists, art historians, teachers of the I.E. Repin Academy of Arts, the A.L. Stiglitz Academy of Art and Industry, and the A.I. Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University.
