The tenth anniversary St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures will open on September 11. It will last until September 14th and will be the main event of the autumn.
"Culture has always been, is and will be the basis of dialogue and a connecting thread between a variety of countries, peoples, and worldviews," said Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation. – Culture is based on the values of humanism and the best traditions of the peoples of the whole world. It sets moral guidelines that cannot be overestimated. The unifying force of culture is able not only to overcome differences, but also to create a common vision of the future based on universal ideals."
The program of the anniversary forum is record-breaking, more than 250 events are planned. Each of the 10 thematic sections will be devoted to various aspects of culture. On September 11, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia will give a lecture at the forum for the first time, and a forum of ministers of culture of the BRICS countries will also be held on this day.
The Forum will be attended by about 2,000 Russian and foreign cultural and art figures, experts, heads of the largest cultural organizations of the country and the world, representatives of the business community and authorities.
